I always try to overkill by getting extra but I am putting a 200w inline on
a 29 gallon tank with a Ecco 2234. From what you are saying it should be
WAY plenty.

The Eheim you got, 200 watter is it.. which for that
capacity filter shouldn't be a problem.(2234). If your stepping up to a
large tank, (can't remember the ratings) then the larger filters with the
5/8 hosing and the 300 watter is going to work for that..
