Laurel, Hi, I just got home from an out of town trip and saw your post. If you have not found a home for your J. transcriptus I would love to add it to my collection. I have about a dozen of various size in my tang tank. The only other things in with them are 4 black calvus and some synodontis. I should have been more specific. Fish like lamprologus multifasciatus wouldn't mix well with mbuna, similar to most julies(territory battles that the mbuna would likely win), but fish like tropheus could probably get along with more peaceful malawians (or maybe some victorians) like Auloncara species.
