Re: [GSAS-Member] 20 Long Aquarium or Eclipse

These days I do goldfish in Rubbermaid stock tanks. You can get them at
feed stores (like De Young's next door to Molbak's in Woodinville). They
are planted with waterlilies and some parrotfeather spp. Plus all the
floater stuff (duckweed, azolla etc). For 2-3 shubunkins, I'd pick up a 50
gallon stock tank although they come larger. They aren't that expensive
unless to start getting to the 100 gallon + sizes. I think the goldfish
would be happier than in a little 20-29 gallon tank and the surface area
is more suitable than in a cube tank. Just my opinion....since I'm pining
for a 300 gallon stock tank these days myself but it won't fit in my
Tribute!

I'm not sure what 'a goldfish tank price' means (wink)....I guess you mean
folks aren't interested in paying much for keeping goldfish vs cichlids
(another wink)??????? Some of us like goldfish way way more than cichlids
(grin).
