And that's more "web talk." When we say that an animal is inbred, it implies that there is a restricted gene pool and little selection against deleterious gene types. Given the countless number of koi breeders who have selected fish over time and the care that goes into selecting breeders it may well be that koi have a BETTER immune system than many wild fish.
