Does anyone out there know the rules about scooping up pond water/flora&fauna in WA, King County, Seattle, or Seattle Public Parks? This morning after the dog walk, I took a big bucketful of water and hornwort-looking plants (along with a TON of algae, I confess!) from the lagoon in Discovery Park to use in one of my koi experiments. I have to confess I was working quickly and had that sense of danger sensation, like I was doing something I shouldn't be, but got to thinking; how bad could it REALLY be?? SO, is this another case of - It is easier to ask Forgiveness than it is to ask Permission - or is this OK ??? I guess I would like to know, or where to find out, for future reference (ie do I always need to do this in stealth mode, or can I do it whenever I want??) ;+) Thanks!
