Hi Hiro, I've also kept shoals of cories (C. sterbai, C. arcuatus and others) with Botia and Schistura loaches in 29 and 33-long tanks, and they shared the bottom with no problems. I'm sure it helps that my loaches are not large and that I have plenty of little hiding places (rocks, flowerpots, plants) for the loaches. I hear some loaches can be territorial, in the sense that they'll fight over the best hideouts in the tank if there aren't enough to go around.
