Re: [GSAS-Member] This is for Jay(got some questions)

  Hi Jay,

  Thanks for the link.
They sounds good. It would be cool to see them grow to be that size. Also
would be interesting to see their clutch of eggs as well.

Not to mention, they would be much easier to control since their eggs are in
the big chunk and above water.

Who knows I may bring their off springs to the meeting in the future.

Anyway, thanks again for the bucket deal.

I forgot to add that the snails are Golden Mystery snails, Pomacea bridgesii,
(see this link: http://www.applesnail.net/content/species/pomacea_bridgesi.htm
). I have hundreds after getting two as a free gift from an Aquabid seller in
2004. They're everywhere in my tanks but I don't mind them because they're
great scavengers. While they are VERY prolific, they won't damage plants or
cause other mischief. They get eaten by snail-eating fish when small, and lay
their eggs above the water line. They can get to be golf-ball sized. I use
the empty shells of large old ones for Shell-dewlling african cichlids

Yes, the krib is female if she has a pink belly!
