HI Shamus, I dont know if it is just me but I have found the paradise fish to actually prefer warmer water. I had the two grandparents of the current GSAS Paradise population in a large tub for a while with no added heat; they looked quite grumpy; sluggish, clamped fins, not eating much... So I added a heater. Then they went nuts; perked right up and started breeding behaviours (and very successful ones at that) almost immediately. I still have paradise fish coming out my ears as a result. (The grandfather is no longer though, due to a penchant for jumping out of a 5-gal bucket when I wasnt home! Grandma is Queen of the Belonesox tank now). Is this just symptomatic of my old, cold apartment, or other peoples experience? Now I am curious! Connie ----Original Message Follows---- WELL, PART OF IT ANYWAY.... From: Shamus Young <machismo@eskimo.com> The goal would be the 1 paradise fish and some dithers. Maybe a flag fish or minnows, and a few cories that like the colder temps. and low-light live plants like java or bolbus fern and of course, anubius. _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member
