Hi Connie: I had potassium permanganate in my aquarium, which turns the water completely violet. I just poured the H202 in to neutralize it, with the fish in it. I didn't put a whole lot in, just enough that I thought it did the job of getting rid of the other stuff by turning the water clear. Well, it is real sensitive stuff even though it looks like water. You can try it, but I would recommend reading everything you could find on the internet about it first. I didn't think it was that lethal.
