Re: [GSAS-Member] Substrate layer

Dianna:

There is indeed a lot out there on substrates. The current trends in my house
are dark substrates with black in favor. I have Eco, AquaSoil, and color
quartz for small/show tanks and Turface/soilmaser for the bigger tanks. While
Turface is light and clouds, it is available at Cascade Turf in Snohomish for
$12.50 per 50# bag according to Roy. In any case I line a deep substrate of
3-4" with some fert sticks and mild water fertilization. Any thing particular
you hope to accomplish?
