[GSAS-Member] re. Mexican Oak Leaf

Dear List,

Here is the plant info on Shinnersia rivularis from a plant source I've
used, AquaSpot World:
Name: Shinnersia rivularis (Mexican Oak Leaf)
Genus: Shinnersia
Family: Asteraceae
Structure: Stem
Origin: Mexico
Height: 40-60 cm
Width: 10-20 cm
Light: Medium - Very High
Temperature: 20-28 degrees C.
pH: 5.5 - 9.0
Growth: Fast
Difficulty: Easy
The retailer states, "Shinnersia rivularis is native to Mexico and is
commonly known as the 'Mexican Oak Leaf,' due to its resemblance to oak
foliage.

It is an extremely fast growing stem plant and makes little demands in the
aquarium. Strong lights should be used to speed up growth."

I'd ordered a variegated form of it, although unfortunately it did not
survive the shipping.

Cordially,

Margie C.
