Re: [GSAS-Member] Where to buy rocks locally?

The rock place behind u village is primarily pavers. It's hard to
find many natural shapes or anything large enough to look nice in a
decently sized tank. When looking for a replacement for Alpine
Rockeries for my back yard, I happened upon Clearview Nursery. They
are SO MUCH better than Alpine. They have 10x the selection, amazing
white/black granite boulders, a huge amount of smaller sizes, etc.
The best part is they don't have a scale so you put the rocks in your
car, drive up to the front, and they "estimate" how much weight you've
pulled. We filled the back of my jeep with "1 man rocks" which
actually take 2 men. We had about 600-700lbs of rocks, and he said
"looks like 300 pounds!" so we got out of there for half of what it
would have normally cost. Plus they have other awesome stuff there if
you own a home. Probably don't bring your wives though, or you'll
have a spring/summer project that will be VERY heavy.
