Interesting thought, re: hardness - what minerals exactly??  The ones normally 
found in aquarium salt??   

 

For any shrimp container I have just used the same water as for all my other 
tanks/containers, which is about a teaspoon of salt per gallon these days (all 
my livebearers seem to do better with this), and a little pond conditioner 
(thrown in for the chlorine, etc.) that I got from the Koi Show auction last 
year.  (Serenity (?) pond conditioner)

 

Anything else I should be doing instead Steev?
