I loathe them as well. I try to net out some periodically to feed to the
Botia striata tank and they disappear in that tank, but the Botia
sidthimunki don't tend to keep them under control. I wish I'd never added
them to any of my tanks. I've heard a rumor that cold temperatures (below
40F) will eradicate them.
