Hi all, I have seven freshwater community tanks. They vary in size from 150 gallon to ten gallon. The hottest day here was 106 outside and we kept it down to 92 inside. Once the sun was down all windows were thrown wide open with a fan in every room. Then during the day all blinds and windows closed with blankets over the skylights. I went through 15 blocks of ice. I just broke them in half and put them in freezer bags and floated them on top. I kept all lights off. I also did a twenty percent water change a few times with cold water. I fed vary sparingly. My tanks never got above 82 degrees. Once they would hit that point I was cooling down with ice. It was a lot of work on Wednesday and Thursday but I didn't loose anything. So it was all worth it. My plants didn't seem to suffer they just didn't grow. Less trimming this week :D _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member
