I like this scraper WAY better than the scraper that I bought.   
Sometimes those magnetic ones just don't do it and you need a scraper.

I like the one that Cliff suggests here because it comes in multiple  
lengths.  The one I have is too long and getting leverage is more  
difficult on serious algae.
