Re: [GSAS-Member] Blue Sierra doensizing

When we had the Dario dario delivery from Portland, I had one out of the
batch of 'females' that I was pretty certain was a female. She was much
paler than the rest without red patches. I put them all in individual
tanks (5 gallon planted/established) but she was extremely secretive and
died within a couple weeks. Daphnia and mosquito larvae live foods were
readily available. The rest that were 'probable' females all had red
patches (not obvious barring) but all had long pectorals with electric
blue lines on them and 'acted' like the males I had had previously. They
were right up front in the tanks (not shy), flaring and acting pretty
healthy. Anyway, she never seemed stable/healthy enough to put in with a
male, so I didn't. Then it was too late.
