I use three 6500k 26w CFLs in clamp-on lights hung as pendants to light a 20g long with DIY CO2. The setup has been sufficient to grow a variety of plants ranging from Ceratopteris (water sprite) to Hygrophila balsamica and Poaceae sp. (Purple Bamboo). The setup is also good at growing prodigious amounts of macro algae.. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else is using a similar, or more polished looking, setup. -John On Nov 3, 2009 11:44am, florin cracut <florincracut@yahoo.com> wrote: > I've bought from Costco CFL bulbs screw type base 18W, 6500K, the output > is around 65 lumen/W.It is not specified if they are full spectrum or > not. > I'm planning to use these bulbs in an old light fixture for 10gal > tank(previously had incandescent lights).
