I'd fill up those baskets with bio rings. and add a hang on back filter. And 
fill that with quilt batting or fine filter floss. It'll polish your water, but 
gets clogged up really fast. You'd have to replace it at least weekly if not 
sooner. You usually want to separate your filtration, one for BIO, and one for 
mech.
