For most of my tanks, I use liberal amounts of filter floss in AquaClear HOB filters. On the top end, I have a Magnum 350 with particle filter for mechanical filtration paired with a XP3 with cermaic and bio-bale media for biological filtering. I've had very good luck just rinsing out the filter floss and re-using. -John On Thu, Nov 12, 2009 at 3:44 PM, Cory McElroy <corywmcelroy@hotmail.com>wrote: > > I'd fill up those baskets with bio rings. and add a hang on back filter. > And fill that with quilt batting or fine filter floss.
