That's why you pay attention to the ingredients labels (wink). I had the
most problem finding something that didn't have too much perlite, which
floats so you end up netting off the surface for awhile. I have 4 - 10
gallon tanks (2 with peat/2 with potting soil) I set up and planted maybe
5-6 years ago and they still grow great plants (from my limited subset of
low-tech low-light plants). I never get around to tossing in any ferts,
but most have fish (mostly Endler's).
