Speaking of the torrent tracker. Is there a way I can download and watch
the old talks? I've downloaded the shrimp, and plant talks. And bought

like the one on geophagus etc :)
Well, first off, you didn't BUY the dvd. We don't sell the DVDs. You
donated $5 to the club. The material on those DVDs is always available
FREE to our members, but I made a few extra disks. You can check out the
other DVDs from our library during the meetings. They are
notoriously underused.
I've only been making the online videos for about a year and a half now.
You can search for the other torrents through the list archives. The
board is discussing means by which we might have a list of active torrent
files easily-available to members-only but not the general public (such as
a password or changing link printed in the newsletter).
We can't really put the old ones out, because the arrangement with those
speakers was that their talk would be on a DVD in the club library. (The
newer speakers gave permission for the online distribution.) Also, the
quality might not be so hot going back from DVD to an mp4 (add to that I
did all those edits on Adobe Premiere & I don't have that installed
anymore, the source tapes are deteriorating, etc etc).
I think the Geophagus talk (from ten years ago) was lost -- one of the few
I didn't get onto a DVD! Might find it on VHS in the back. Lee Newman's
Satanoperca talk is good, though.
