Any suggestions > on this front? > I treat ich with salt and heat only. Meds can be very useful, but some fish are very sensitive to them so I do without. The heat method works very well, but you have to be patient. Also 82F may not be enough. I believe I have read that 86F is the minimum and if your fish can take warmer that is even better. It speeds up the ich life cycle, and above a certain temp, 86F I think, one stage of the organism can't survive. Last time I treated for ich I had the tank at about 88F for about 10 days.
