I bet you are right about that paint. Do you know the PPM CO2 in your tank? pH is only part of the equation. And have you verified the calibration of the pH probe recently? They can drift. CO2 may not have caused your ventilation problem, but it still may not be used to greatest efficiency in your tank. Others know much more about it than I do though, I am only installing my system today!
