Good point, Erik. I think that keeping water a bit harder shouldn't be so much of an issue. Besides, it might get me over my water chemistry resistance. Roy helped the other day by giving me a dry fert crib sheet that helped me think about water chemistry in new ways. I think that having to maintain some harder water would be a good next step. That being said, I don't know what I do to harden water. I assume there is some sort of powder I put in when I do water changes and test it once a week....more until i understand how and when it changes.
