I feel I should chime in from the Conway contengency. First, choose between high ph, and low ph cichlids. Good ones for a 29g: High PH Leleupi breeding colony Multi Shell dwellers Colony breeder, with something up above, tetras/rasboras etc. Juliochromis sp. Birchardi colony Low PH Usually loves a planted tank. Kribs (i find i have breeding problems, female puts a pounding on the male.) Apistogrammas(huge following of this fish, many varieties.) Rams, German blues etc Riverine Cichlids Buffalo head cichlid With tetras on the top level, with a few powerheads built into a river manifold.(been on my todo list for a while) Thats all I can think of off the top of my head in hurry. But Just from seeing your tanks shango. I'd put some research into the river manifold system, with buffalo head cichlids and tetras. You could do a nice planted tank, river theme. > From: shango@shangolos.com > Date: Mon, 11 Jan 2010 16:51:00 -0800 > To: gsas-member@thekrib.com > Subject: [GSAS-Member] Name That Cichlid > > Ok, ok...I'm gonna start a cichlid tank. > > I resisted for years because I had mixed reactions to an old girlfriends > Cribenza tank where they were always getting all red and shoving each other > back and forth for turf.
