I have heard of HUGE arowana aquarium near Edmonds. I forget who I heard this from, but the way the described it was that it was like a swimming pool, and had a net around it with birds that the arowanas fed on. I had no idea arapaimas were protected. I thought we saw them everywhere in the Amazon, and believe we even ate them, but maybe my Portuguese was bad and it was a different species. > From: igotadose@hotmail.com > To: gsas-member@thekrib.com > Date: Tue, 12 Jan 2010 03:49:59 +0000 > Subject: Re: [GSAS-Member] Largest home aquarium (Susan Welenofsky) > > > > > Hate to be the negative one but, > > > > 1) Arapaima are protected.
