Jim Capelle recently asked about how we intend to break down submissions. We've talked about this only in general terms to this point and will probably get into it more completely later, but here are _my_ thoughts on the matter: The Showcase/Contest is going to be open to accepting submissions of all types of freshwater aquascapes (brackish tanks are _more_ than welcome. Personally, I'd love to see more nicely done brackish tanks). What you seem to be discussing is how the submissions will be broken down as far as the types of aquascapes they will be showcased with or judged against. That is a topic which hopefully we shall address in the coming days, once we nail down the Judging Criteria. However, I would _imagine_ that if we received say 10 entries of brackish tanks, that we would/could create a Class or Division just for that type of tank. I think it would be rather unfair to make you try to compete against a totally different _type_ of tank. but I could also imagine that a _really_ cool tank of _any_ type might make it to the Best of Show category, where the best tanks from all Classes / Divisions are put head to head. If you've read the archives, you will know that we've had much discussion over the issue of plastic plants and have decided that if someone wants to use plastic plants in their aquascape it isn't our place to say no. This is NOT limited to just planted tanks, although a lot of folks hope that we get mainly planted tanks as entries. There are a lot of ways to decorate an aquarium - we want to showcase them all. So, please stick around and jump in again when we get to discussing which Classes / Divisions we might like to set up.
