I was just going to send my weight on the criteria when I saw the adjusted numbers that James came with and like them so I vote for them. Also as Karen said it would be better to sort them by importance. Criteria "C" 1 (ex 4). Overall Impression (35%) 2 (ex 2). Composition / Balance / Use of Space / Use of Color (30%) 3 (ex 1). Selection and Use of Materials (20%) 4 (ex 3). Viability (15%) >Now, do we need/wish/want to break these down further, elaborate on them, or >do we leave that to the discretion of the Judges? We have to describe what are the main ideas behind each criteria not only for the judges but also for the entrants to know for what they will be judged. This could be as the questions first posted for each one. A little and concise paragraph for each one will be enough. Now on the private issues discussed a week or so ago I will like to say that all the entrants to the contest should have their points published with comments from judges about their aquascapes if we are going to separate the event into a showcase and a contest the ones who do not want the be judged and their result published could only enter the showcase. The judges' comments will not necessary be negative or embarrassing but they would be on a positive way and to make everyone learn from good things done and mistakes also. This would serve to everyone to learn why some aquascapes were "better" than others and what was their position on the contest.
