Judges

Since we are now official, one thing we have to settle is who is going to
Judge the Contest portion of the event. It might take a while to round up 5
"willing victims" who are knowledgable, known and international.

I have a list of "potentials":

Neil Frank, Editor Emeritus TAG, AGA, U.S.A.
*Karen Randall, AGA, U.S.A. -> we couldn't ask for someone better qualified,
or better known.
Tom Barr, AGA, U.S.A.
George Booth, U.S.A.
Ray Simoneaux, U.S.A.
Karl Schoeler, Minnesota, U.S.A.
Paul Speice, FAMA columnist, U.S.A.
Ted Colletti, FAMA columnist, U.S.A.
Kathleen Wood, Editor AFM, U.S.A.
*Olga Betts, Vancouver, Canada -> Olga won the last AGA contest, so she is
certainly qualified - her tanks are beautiful.
*Claus Christensen, Tropica, Denmark -> Known world wide.
Holger Windelov, Tropica, Denmark
Jan Bastmeier, The Netherlands
Steve Windsor, Editor Practical Fishkeeping, GB [doesn't know much about
aquascaping]
Barry James, author of several aquarium plant books, GB
Derek Lambert, author and livebearer specialist, GB
*Christel Kasselmann, author of Aquarienpflanzen, Germany -> Known in Europe
at least.
Kaspar Horst, co-founder of Dupla, Germany
Horst Kipper, co-founder of Dupla, Australia
Adrian Tappin, rainbowfish expert, Australia
*Takashi Amano, ADA, Japan -> Highly unlikely that he would do it, but worth
a shot for the "star value" he would bring.
Hideki Higuchi, ADA, Japan
Yoshino and/or Kobayashi, authors of The Natural Aquarium, Japan
Rainer Stawikowski, author of The Biotope Aquarium, ???
Alfred Heng, Singapore

My initial preferences are marked by "*", but lets get others involved in
this discussion. Who would YOU like to see judge the Contest (and why do you
think that they would make a good choice)?

P.S. - to the silent majority - please come out of the woodwork and give us
your opinions on this, it's important.
