>Question: Is the page size correct for TAG? Normally TAG prints 8.5 x >4.25 inches, with 1/2" margins on either side. This looks like it's meant >to print out on 8.5x11 paper, and has a larger margin. Yes, this time around it is (at least from my reading of what Mary told me to do). I've traded a number of e-mail's with Mary McCaw over this issue. I had initially told her that I would try my best to give her material as close to "camera ready" as possible, i.e. I would take care to follow TAG's rules for page size and orientation, font use and border widths. She had initially told me to set things up in landscape mode, as each TAG page is merely a folded over 8.5"X11" sheet. This is what I later got from Mary.... each paragraph is from a separate e-mail: "The contest publicity in TAG will be in the form of a separate insert, the pages will be in the normal portrait set-up as opposed to the landscape format of TAG, and stapled on the top. This should mean minimum work on your part. I would like to have the insert content by April 14th, and the 19th at the latest if this is okay with you." "This afternoon I called Joel to give him the job and also to discuss the best and most cost effective way to publicize the contest. We decided on a two-sided, stapled flyer (a booklet form would have made it much more expensive). This flyer will be inserted into the next issue of TAG." "We use Times New Roman 10 as our main font. Headings are done in Arial 12 bold, and sub-headings in Arial 11 bold. Side margins are .5, and top and bottom margins are .75." So I assumed from this that if I used an 8.5" x 11" page size, in portrait mode, with the margins and fonts as she specified to match with the rest of the magazine, that everything will be fine. I expect that the "insert" will not actually be bound (stapeled) into the TAG issue, but rather a set of five separate pages, printed on both sides, collated together and then stapled in the upper left hand corner and the whole thing folded over and loosely placed inside of the TAG issue. If I'm right in this, that would mean that the 6 pages of Guidelines will be together on three sheets of paper (thru the magic of double sided printing), and the Entry Form and Aquascape Information Form will share the two sides of fourth sheet of paper, with the Photo Release being the last item to be put on the fifth sheet. The other side of that 5th sheet would remain blank, but I guess that people could use it for over-run for the aquascape info if necessary. Doesn't this make sense?
