While it isn't covered explictly in the Guidelines, we had discussed this (months ago) and agreed that the judges would be asked to ensure that there are no ties. As Erik has set up the scoring system for the judges in such a manner that the judges can see the scores for the other judges as well as themselves, this shouldn't be a problem. Should a tie develop, the judges will simply be asked to slightly adjust one of the scores to give a clear winner in the category Remember that although the judges are widely separated geographically and will be doing their own reviews and scoring via the net, they are also connected via a private mailing list and hopefully can operate as a team..
