It offers an incentive to join, serves the intent of our organization, and helps the treasury without any negatives that I can see. 709 is a fabulous total and something to be proud of. Our current bank balance is $20,628.12 with no bills submitted for our last several publications. What is the status of our legal efforts? I ask because we have all that money drawing no interest, and I would like to make a recommendation to the Steering Committee that we start a program of investing in CD's on a monthly basis until we get down to about $6 or 7,000 left in checking which should be adequate for our operations, particularly if our printer will submit bills as each publication is mailed. We would need to determine what tax forms would be required to report the interest and if we would have to pay interest, based on the status we achieve legally. Best wishes for the holidays, Bob, the Cashman. ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
