Let me just warn you, that historically, getting a vote of the entire
membership of an organization like this is like pulling hens teeth.
Typically, the only time you get a lot of people to vote on an issue is
when that group of people has been purposely rounded up by someone trying
to force through their own "agenda", and as often as not, this agenda has
little to do with the best interests of the organization.  Sorry to sound
cynical, but I've seen too many organizations destroyed (or almost
destroyed) by open voting.
