Paypal costs us the same, whether they pay with cash transfer from a bank account or use a cred card. With PP, we don't care. I don't care if we collect sales tax, but we need a voluteer to do the hard time if we get caught violating the law in VA. We might not all come back from VA at the ame time. ;-) I don't know if we can register with the Tax Dept in time for the convention -- it's illegal for a business operation to sell in VA without registering. Filing is going to be a terrific pita although the form itself is rather short. If anyone understand the VA tax code better than I, let us know. anyone got a tax attorney in their pocket? sh --- Cheryl Rogers <cheryl@rightstuffwebsites.com> wrote: > Ann Viverette wrote: > > > Sounds like I need to be "somewhere else" than at the > registration desk, > > though maybe within sight of it. > > Okay. > > Should anyone be short on checks and > > need to write one for both items, they can overpay the > registration > > check and take the $15/$18 change over to me for a > separate transaction. > > That would leave the totals correct in the registration > booth, assuming > > registration does have some cash on hand. > > We *could* but notes would have to be made. A "leisure rate" of $119 per night might still be available at the hotel -- requires Friday night (the 12th) stay. Contact the hotel hotel directly at (703)920-3230. The generic reservation line may not offer you the "leisure rate." Alternative hotel info should be posted soon.
