We have a signed contract, and it says that in exchange for converting his 
unfulfilled subscriptions to AGA memberships 1:1, and paying $2 per 
remaining copy, we own all his remaining physical copies of PAM, and we 
are the sole seller of them.  It does not, however, grant us ability to 
reprint our own copies or publish the articles anywhere.  Hence the 
problem.

One would think that for all the money we spent on that awful deal, over 
$10K in memberships, shipping, and cash to Dave, we'd have full control. 
But that's why it's an awful deal.  And there it is on paper.  From my 
personal perspective, I'm quite angry at Dave for thinking we somehow 
still "owe" him stuff, and I will not negotiate further with him.  From my 
official perspective, I am letting the others on the board, with less 
anger over the issue (and also the ability to continue while I disappear 
from view in about 2.7 days) decide how to proceed.

Yeah, most of the discussion was on steering committee.  But to summarize: 
I made the mistake, included the two out-of-print PAMs as part of the TAG 
archive.  Mentioned it on the APD in response to a question, got "outed" 
by Dave himself on the same public forum.  Immediately back-pedaled and 
removed all references to PAM on the archive disk.   Lately now, Karen has 
been talking/negotiating with Dave for full rights or whatever that 
means, in exchange for free lifetime AGA membership.
