To that I'd like to add:

And everyone _IS_ an "expert" on their personal experiences with their
tanks, both good and bad.  Much of what I've learned over the years as been
by visiting and chatting with "non-experts", learning about their tanks,
what they've tried, what works for them and what doesn't.  We all have our
very own "laboratory" right in our houses... Our tanks.  All it takes to go
from that to sharing something meaningful with other hobbyists is careful
observation, and writing it down!
