Re: [AGA Member] Red Pigment-K spectrum anecdotes
Cause sure their are lots of green plants that need a lot of light why not?
And I bet their are a few red plants that do not need as much light but I do
guarantee you that the majority of red plants NEED high light because of the red
and green pigment thing I mentioned earlier. Also their are not a lot of red
plants that have a stem strong enough to survive out of water. Why? I donna!
And I could not tell you why some plants chose to grow in or out of water I
think that the fact that most of the out of water plants are green just by
coninsidence.
But the part that I said about the red and green pigment is a fact!! It is
scientifically proven.

Yeah, I'm not saying that the only thing that will grow in bright light are
red plants i'm just saying that most of the red plants can only grow in
bright
light. Because if they are shodowed they will not be able to absorb enough
light in order to survive. Think of it as a bunch of dots Green dots abosrb
light
red ones don't (in every plant their are red pigments and green pigments what
determins the colour of the plant is the amount of red to green pigment) so
if their are alot of red dots their will have to be alot of light in order
for
the fewer amount of green dots to pull in enought light for the plant to
survive.

But lots of plants live in clear water and even no water
and have lots of green and little or no red.
