Bill; Mine sat and did nothing for almost a year. Then it started popping up literally everywhere. In my 110 (48x18) after sulking, it was coming up in my anubias and crypts half way across the tank 2 feet away. It actually got to be a problem because in open areas a shoot would just break the gravel surface, expand its roots for a day or two, put on about 6 inches of growth and on the 4th day it shot up about another foot. In the anubias and crypts, I didn't see it until it was too late. When I pulled it out, the runner would uproot everything between the parent and daughter plants. --Jim -----Original Message----- From: owner-aga-member@thekrib.com [mailto:owner-aga-member@thekrib.com]On Behalf Of Bill Hudgens Sent: Saturday, November 29, 2003 5:08 PM To: aga-member@thekrib.com Subject: [AGA Member] Jungle Val The Jungle Val in my 90 gallon tank is doing well but rarely sends out any runners. So I am not getting many new plants. What triggers the Val to multiply? --B ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, please send mail to majordomo@thekrib.com with "Unsubscribe aga-member" in the body of the message.
