How much it improves depends on how bad the situation was to start with -- I've never seen very good specifications of the test conditons when reading how well a reflector reflects. Fora parabolic specular reflector to yield a 40% improvement over a white plastic reflector of any shape, would not surprise me. This is due partly to the mere fact that it reflects but also in lasrge part to the tfact that a parabolic reflector, or psuedoparabolic reflector will help to focus the light down ino the aquarium. The eye test: I can look at a 55 watt PC, but if there is a reflector behind it, it hurts to look. ;-) Scott H. --- Amit Brucker <amitb@gtek.co.il> wrote: > What about those reflectors ???? > I think I've read someplace that the reflectors (angled > ones) can increase > the light output in 40-60% > Can anyone approve this ??? > ===== S.
