One doesn't have to be guitly of libel (a written act of defamation as opposed to slander withich is an oral act of defamation) to be sued. One of the crucial elements of lible is that the defamatory remark be false. But even if the remark is true, someone can still press a suit in court. So one should always exercise prudence and discretion when talking about specific products, vendors, or manufacturers.
