Re: PAM "adoption"

This is a tough decision. On the one hand, we could get old members (who
are PAM subscribers) pissed at us if they are not getting most of their
money back and they think we are associated with PAM. If I were a
subscriber, I will be pissed if I got back issues as "partial payment" even
if I got an the AGA membership or extension. Then there are the AGA
members that wont get anything, unless we are willing to give them an
extention. If so, it will be quite expensive. On the other hand, I do like
the idea of us offering a one year free membership to all the
subscriber-non-members (to get them as prospective members), but this has a
down side too, since we may not have a TAG to send out to them. The idea of
getting back issues from him is sort of appealing (we could sell them
eventually), but I would want to (a) find out how many he has; (b) if he
will give us all of them and (c) how much space they would take. Then I
would want to check with Walstad. I think I feel better about it if he did
NOT send the back issues as partial payment. Even after getting the
answers, I will have to think some more before I give a thumbs up or down.
