Hi Dave --
It was good to see you and Diana at the AGA
convention. The Board of Directors of the AGA has asked me to continue the
discussion with you to see if there is a way in which AGA and you can mutually
benefit from your decision to stop publishing PAM. Our thinking is that this
would involve some manner in which AGA would offer AGA memberships to your
unexpired subscribers in return for back issues of PAM, and AGA would also
purchase the remaining back issues of PAM from you at a discounted price. For
AGA this would get us some new members who we already know are interested in
plants. For you it would be an easier pill for your unexpired subscribers to
swallow than if you were to send them multiple copies of back issues, and you
would get you some cash out of the deal.
Towards that end, I need some information,
please.
1) How many back issues are there -- please break
it down by the number of copies of each issue, and please include all back
issues,as we would want AGA to be the only source for these.
2) How many unexpired subscribers are there, and
how many issues are they owed. If you could group them by how many are owned 1,
2, etc that would really help.
With the above information I think that AGA is
prepared to make you an attractive offer that would benefit both you and AGA,
and that would allow PAM to go to its demise with the same grace, class and
quality that it has exhibited to
date.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
David
