Now what?

Dave --
Well, cyberspace has been singing with PAM and AGA stuff.
The net effect seems to me to be that all of your authors have agreed to write off what you owe to them. This is good, and demonstrates the excellent effect that you and PAM have had on the plant enthusiasts of the world. Toward that end, I hope that we may, indeed, come to an agreement.

I'm sorry that you feel that AGA is getting such a "great deal", which has the sense that you feel that you are getting a bad deal. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that what I and all the others at the Saturday night meeting in Chatanooga heard from you was that you were going to close down PAM. Period. Over with. If you now have changed your mind, and are either going to continue publishing it or are trying to sell/give it to an existing company I wish you would make that clear to me and AGA.

For the sake of hopefully finalizing things, AGA will raise our offer for all of the remaining back issues (after we have gotten the ones in compensation for our giving AGA memberships to your unexpired subscribers) to $2.00 per issue. Sorry if that is below your costs or if it otherwise offends you, but that is a high as AGA can go.

So -- AGA offers to give unexpired PAM subscribers 3 months of AGA membership for each issue you owe to unexpired subscribers to PAM in exchange for 1 back issue of PAM for each 3 months, and AGA will purchase all of the remaining back issues of PAM from you for $2 per issue. Please let me know if this is acceptable to you or not.
Kind regards,
David
