I originally specified a TOTAL of 2000 copies, and the remainder to be obtained with reasonable negotiation. David said: "By the time we get done with getting PAMs for each 3 months of AGA membership we give his unexpired subscribers there should be around 3,000 PAMs left." I interpreted the above statement to mean we will be acquiring more than 3000 - some in exchange for membership and the remaining 3000 for a cost of $6k. So, the total AGA investment is $6K plus the lost dues revenue. How many are we getting for unexpired subscribers? In an earlier message, Gomberg said: "AGA offered to buy out the back copies of PAM, about 2000 at $1.25 worth of AGA membership and about 3000 at $1.50 cash. [it is more like $2 - 2.50 of AGA membership and $2.00 cash] This tells me that we just acquired 5,000 PAMs! >Hopefully we are going to get the remaining 60 >copies of Issue 2 so we can sell all eight as a set to the first 60 lucky >buyers... (see, that's 400 right there, 1/3 of our break-even). I sure hope there are 60 copies. However, I am not even sure there are 40. When I talked to Gomberg last week about issue number 2, he told me that there were NONE. Without issue 2, it will be VERY difficult to sell 1200-1500 issues to break even. Ask Diane how long it takes her to sell that many TAGs. Neil ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail majordomo@thekrib.com with "unsubscribe aga-sc" in the body of the message.
