Thanks to Erik for bringing it up -- and sadly I think I understand how he
feels and how he has come to this conclusion. A month ago Charlene asked me
to take over going after advertisers and sponsors. Apparently the two folks
who had promised to do this crappy job both crapped out -- and I told
Charlene I would do the bets I could. She sent me a list from two years
ago -- not in electronic form -- so I have had to build my own database to
start with. I then sent out the letters she had written and sent me copies
of on TAq statuionery, and I dutifully have sent out around 100 letters. I
am going to follow up on ones that make sense and concentrate on ones where
I have some personal contact. I am hoping that Charlene and Karen and the
Houston folks are doing the same.
It is very loosely organized, and I sure hope it comes together.
What do any of you think we can / should do?
