Hello board, I was chatting with Larry Lampert from the DFW club on Tuesday. They're still willing to host the convention there, so I forwarded him the thumbnail unofficial bid sketch I originally gave Mike from Cleveland (and the board here) back in December. I let him know that at least one on the board thinks the convention will somehow happen in Boston & perhaps more than one don't think it wise to hold in Texas two years in a row (hmm, we did hold it in the same city two years in a row, didn't we?). But my opinion is that if the convention's going to happen at all this year, then Dallas is the most likely club to pull it off. Karen, is anyone from Boston actually interested in hosting the AGA convention? I wasn't sure where this was left back in December... my impression was that there was no local champion, and no activity beyond "that'd be cool" messages on a mailing list. Finally, I also got ahold of Scott, who needs a few more days to finish his bid requirements and guidelines document. He told me a large bit he was doing was splitting it up into requirements and suggestions...sounds like he's on the right track. - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail majordomo@thekrib.com with "unsubscribe aga-sc" in the body of the message.
