At this point, I don't think I'm going to ask for any $ for prizes. On the one hand, knowing how much we need to keep the treasury afloat, it'svery difficult to ask the board for $300-500 for prizes for the winners.
I disagree. We as a group have been working very hard in the past two years to re-establish the AGA as a quality, valid, professional organization. I think it would hurt us (much more than financially) NOT to give prizes to winners. We could buy prizes, and donate gift certificates to the bookstore, free memberships, etc.
UNLESS we want to stop doing the contest. I'm getting vibes that Erik may think the contest is more trouble than it is worth....Yes? No?
