Re: AGA memorial fund for Vicki Costley (fwd)

Of course we don't mind! Always glad to have your input. I don't think I
knew that Gasser had died, though I knew he had been in poor shape for quite
a while. But you are right, it is too bad that no one wrote something up.
I think we have to depend on the individuals that hear of news like this to
let us know. No one asked for a memorium for Merrill, I decided to do that
myself. But I knew (and missed) him personally, where I neither knew Robert
Gasser, nor was I contacted directly about his death.

I couldn't tell from your last bit whether you thought we should be doin
something differently (or better or more) or not. Do you think we should?

Karen

in the past 1- 2 years, and some that are well known and have made
contributions to the hobby. The one that now comes to mind is Robert Gasser.
(as you know, he died Aug 2002) . I dont recall if he was mentioned in TAG,
etc. I suspect that there are others.
> Also worth noting for historical purposes is that Jare in addition to the
TAG acknowledgment was also given the special honor of becoming the first
and only "fellow" of the AGA. THis position is analagous to that provided by
the American Cichlid Association. I thought it worth mentioning because I
wasnt sure that the newer boad members are aware of the situation.

our members might pass away and noone notices.
