Good point. Ghanzafar has probably done a calc like that based on 2003 attendees. WE sent him city/state for registrants. Maybe we should ask for his numbers. ;-) On a related point, of the 108 paid registrants at AGA2K3, 15% bought memberships with their registration. Others might have bought memberships separately. But the prepoderance of attendees were already members. Some number of these sign-ups joined only to go to the convention. So the number that signed up only to go the convention is a small percentage. It would seem then that the market for the the 2003 convention was predominantly members of AGA. But, I expect Ghanzafar to be targeting a different audience, one which comprises AGA *plus* all the b'ginners, or something like that. Depending on his strategy, the b'ginners might be a big share. I wonder if b'ginners are as likely to fly to a convention? sh --- David Lass <davidlass@villasunscape.com> wrote: > Just out of curiosity (actually it would be good to know) > can we query the > database to find out how many AGA members there are in, > say, DC, MD, PA, NJ > etc.?
